Mr Aijaz is a 2012 batch IAS officer and is presently posted as Managing Director of Kashmir Power Discom(KPDCL). He has served as Deputy Commissioner of districts in Jammu as well as in Kashmir Division in the recent past. He holds the record of being the first from border District of Poonch to have got selected into premier Engineering college IIT Delhi from where he completed his B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering. He also holds distinction of being the first from Poonch District after 1947 to make it to the Indian Administrative Service.
The Award ceremony shall be held in Delhi, the schedule for which has not been fixed yet due to Covid-19 pandemic.
